YiHeng Wang (2019WANY36) broke the Rubik's Cube World Record Average with 4.36 seconds, beating his old record of 4.48 on the Philippine Championship 2024 on 6th July, 2024.
The 10-year-old Chinese cuber is currently by far the best 3x3 speedcuber in the World. He's so dominant that this was his 33rd sub-5 average, while the rest of the World has 7 combined. There are only 4 cubers in the World who accomplished a sub-5 average on a competition and there's a 0.38 seconds gap between this new record and the second best on the list, Tymon Kolasiński (4.74).
He even had a sub-4 solve in this event, and there are only 11 cubers who managed to solved the cube under 4 seconds on a competition.
